I've been writing books since 1989, either with a co-author or on my own. The best-known of these books are from MIS:Press (now an imprint of IDG Books), and they fall into one of two categories: part of the MIS:Press Slackware Series or one of the UNIX books I've written with Eric Foster-Johnson. The Slackware Series, in particular, has won the appreciation of many readers and made the best-seller lists at Barnes & Noble. Here's a look at my books, along with a short description of each. Not listed here are the many X Window books I authored with Eric Foster-Johnson; these books are long out of print and are of limited interest these days.
